Hello, could you please tell me about the history of Sweeney Reserve? My Sweeney grandparents lived at Cora Lynn sometime in the 1930s
Hello Glenys,
according to the book ‘Place Names of Berwick’ Percy Trewin was the custodian, caretaker and maintenance man at the Percy Trewin Reserve (formerly the Narre Warren Recreation Reserve) which used to be situated on the Princes Highway where the Casey Lifestyle Centre is now.
I am interested in Percy Trewin and wondered if anyone had information on him and why an oval was named after him please.
