This plaque was erected by the residents of Upper Beaconsfield in grateful appreciation of the outstanding assistance given to our community during and after the Ash Wednesday Bushfires 16 Febrary 1983.

Our community losses included 21 lives / 186 homes / St. Johns Church / General Store / Hotel / Kindergarten / Service Station / Shop / Scout Camp
